Count Dr Jacques Rogge

President of the International Olympic Committee

Once a participant of no less than three Olympic Games himself, Count Dr Jacques Rogge first became the President of the Belgian Olympic Committee in 1989 and joined the International Olympic Committee in 1991, to become a member of the Executive Board in 1998. Since of 2001, Dr Rogge has been holding the position of President of the International Olympic Committee. From his daily experience in an international environment, and his important role in the organization of the Olympics in Athens, Beijing and London, Dr Rogge gained plenty of insights on cross-cultural leadership. On September 10th 2013, Dr. Rogge will be awarded IOC Honorary Presidentship as recognition for his achievements during more than 20 years in international top sports.
